Gallery, Rehearsal Room, Creative Space
Since the summer semester of 2023, the KulturSalon has been available to student cultural groups at the University of Passau. Centrally located at Dr.-Hans-Kapfinger-Str. 30, near the Kleiner Exerzierplatz and the Nikolakloster, students in Passau's city center have the opportunity to rehearse for theater productions, host art openings and exhibitions, or organize workshops.
The Cultural Office uses the new space for networking events, cabaret performances, and art exhibitions.
Students and student groups at any of the university locations supported by the Studierendenwerk Niederbayern/Oberpfalz (Student Union of Lower Bavaria/Upper Palatinate) can use the cultural space free of charge for their cultural projects. The furnishings and technical equipment are also available for cultural projects upon request.
The new KulturSalon spread across two light-filled, high-quality equipped rooms. The front room offers a practical hanging system for photographs and paintings, as well as a lot of space for other exhibition pieces. The back room is equipped with a dance floor and (upon request) a projector.
