What is United We Create?
United We Create is a creative project for students at all university campuses supported by the Studierendenwerk Niederbayern/Oberpfalz.
Anyone can take part – regardless of their degree programme and whether or not they have previous experience. The theme for the summer semester of 2026 is: COINCIDENCE - ZUFALL.
You can sign here for the project here.
How does the project work?
You have several months to explore the theme of COINCIDENCE - ZUFALL in a creative way. You are completely free to choose your medium: visual art, music, film, writing and much more are all possible.
You can:
- work alone,
- take part as a group, or
- spontaneously team up with other project participants
There is also the option to take part in an accompanying workshop and submit the work created there. To encourage exchange and support you in brainstorming and implementation, we also offer networking opportunities and consultation sessions at all locations.
Students at the Straubing, Pfarrkirchen and Cham campuses (as well as those at the other campuses) are warmly invited to take part in the supporting programme at other campuses.

Timetable
- April/May 2026: Project launch at all locations and registration phase
- June 2026: Interim results, first submission deadline and start of Part 2
- September 2026: Second submission deadline
- Winter semester 26/27: Joint exhibition and events at all locations showcasing the project’s results
You can also join at any time from Part 2 onwards.
How can you get involved?
You must be enrolled at a university supported by the Studierendenwerk Niederbayern/Oberpfalz. You must also register for the project.
Ways to take part:
- develop an idea and register directly here.
- You take part in a workshop and then decide whether you want to submit your entry. You can also register for the project after the workshop.
- Do you already have an idea? Perfect – register right here and submit your entry by the deadline.
- Are you part of a group (e.g. theatre, film, photography, writing, music)? Then you can register together.
- Have you met other students at the information evening? You can also work on projects together and register either individually or as a group.
Registering does not oblige you to submit a contribution. However, it gives us an overview of all participants and allows us to contact you easily, remind you of deadlines, inform you about events and, where appropriate, put you in touch with one another. So it’s definitely worth registering!
What is expected of you?
You are completely free to organise your own time and choose your own content. There are optional events such as workshops or networking meetings that you can attend – but you don’t have to.
You can submit (almost) anything: songs, texts, photographs, drawings, paintings, films, game ideas or game designs. So there are no content requirements apart from the theme! You can also submit multiple works. Even sketches or unfinished ideas are welcome.
What happens after the first submission deadline?
Part 2 of the project begins in June:
- Interim review and assessment of initial results
- New participants welcome
- Further work or new ideas for existing participants based on the works created in Phase 1. Let yourself be inspired!
The second submission deadline is in September – so you’ll have plenty of time in Part 2 to get creative, even after the exam period.
Presentation of results: exhibitions and events at all locations
All results will be presented during the winter semester in a joint exhibition and at events held at our various locations. In Regensburg, there will also be an event as part of the Pop Culture Festival where live performances can be showcased – such as music, poetry or theatre.
