The Mensa at Universität Passau at a glance

The canteen can seat up to 650 guests. Instead of a set menu, guests can choose from a varied selection of dishes and put together their own meals based on their individual preferences. The menu changes daily and includes meat dishes as well as vegetarian and vegan options.

The Mensa is located adjacent to the building for economics - directly on the Inn River.

Special features

You cannot pay cash at the cash registers in the cafeterias and Mensas. You can use a variety of cashless payment methods, including debit/credit cards or NFC-enabled smartphones. With these payment methods, no prior loading of the Mensa card or student ID is necessary. However, please also place your Mensa card or student ID on the checkout terminals to receive a discounted rate in the Mensa.

Children of students up to the age of six can receive a free meal if their mother or father also eats lunch in the Mensa. The so-called “Children’s Meal Mensa Card” ("Kinderteller-Mensakarte") serves as proof of eligibility. To obtain this card, a copy of the birth certificate and the student parent’s certificate of enrollment must be presented at the Mensa Card Office (Info Point).
