The tutors of the student housing complexes in Regensburg, Passau, Landshut, Deggendorf, Pfarrkirchen and Straubing commit themselves to a positive coexistence of all inhabitants. Additionally, international tutors support all foreign students at the university locations. They develop a broad sports and cultural leisure program with general educational value:
- Welcoming meeting
- Sports activities
- Cooking evenings and Sunday breakfast
- Card game tournaments
- and much more…
During their period of appointment, tutors receive an allowance of 140 EUR except for the months August and September. The tutor program is financed by grants of the Free State of Bavaria and own resources of the student union.
The tutors are supported on site by the social counseling staff.
Application and guidelines:
Every inhabitant of a student housing complex who is interested in creating a living community in the housing complex and will live at least one more semester in the housing complex may apply for a tutorial position there. Students applying for a position as an international tutor should master different foreign languages and have experience abroad. Applications for the two following semesters can be made until the end of June. If you are interested, please hand your application form over to the competent tutors or directly to the social counseling staff. Following discussions, the social counseling staff will decide which candidate is accepted for the position.
The contact data of the tutors are normally displayed in show cases or on bulletin boards near the entrance area of the housing complexes.
