In the mensa at the Deggendorf Institute of Technology we offer several main dishes, side dishes, desserts and a large selection of drinks. You can put your meal together individually. We provide vegetarian and vegan meals regularly as we want to provide inexpensive meals for as many of our students as possible.
Please note: You cannot pay in cash at the cash registers in the canteen and cafeteria! Numerous cashless payment methods are available to you, including EC / credit cards or NFC-enabled smartphones. With these payment methods, the MensaCard or student ID does not need to be topped up beforehand. However, please also place your MensaCard or student ID on the cash desk so that you receive a discounted rate in the canteen.
The children of students of the Deggendorf Institute of Technology may receive a free children's portion until their sixth birthday whenever their parent has a meal in the mensa. The "children's mensa card", which is necessary to receive this free meal, can only be obtained if the parent presents his or her student card at the mensa card office.
Due to the renovation work in the university building F, the info point and the cafeteria in the canteen building also have to move. From March 15, 2022, the info point will be in the ITC2 building:
Room number: 255a
Office hours: Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Instead of the cafeteria in the canteen building, the Mensateria Glashaus is open from Monday to Friday from 10.30 a.m. to 2.30 p.m. On days when there are events in the Deggendorfer Stadthallen, the interim canteen moves to the Mensateria Glashaus.
Please observe the following behaviors when entering canteens and cafeterias:
- 1.5 meter minimum distance in indoor areas
- Follow the specified routing
- No cash payment possible: Go to cashless payment methods
